Y2K ART CAMP

Art heals. Play researcher Brian Sutton-Smith said “the opposite of work is not play, it is depression”. Y2K ART CAMP was designed to interrupt the daily stressors of adulthood and provide an outlet for creative expressions. In an effort to further the Akron-Summit Cultural Plan Priorities as a guideline to ensure longevity and inclusivity the priorities we are targeting are #1 - Equity, #3 - Education, and #5 - Engagement.

Through this outline for the arts, we are able to embrace the different cultures and community members and create authentic arts and culture programming by way of summer art camp for all artistic levels and creative abilities. Camp is expected to kick off on June 20th 10am-2pm. All materials, lunch, and fun instruction are provided. Registration is open!
