The Nightlight Cinema Unveils Second Screen

The Nightlight Cinema, Akron's independent, nonprofit movie theater, recently opened its second screening room, expanding access to quality cinema in Summit County. The new space opened on June 13th and seats 71, including four wheelchair-accessible spaces, and features a new bar with expanded concessions. The opening of the second screening room followed a one-million-dollar capital campaign spearheaded by The Nightlight's Executive Director, Jenn Kidd, and supported by funders and film-loving donors.

 The second screening room will allow The Nightlight to offer more films, and its accessible design reflects the theater's commitment to inclusion. Additionally, the new space includes a media library for post-film discussions and connection, expanding public engagement around film in Akron.
