ReelAbilities Film Festival 2020

ReelAbilities Film Festival is the largest festival in the US dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with different disabilities through award-winning films by and about people with disabilities. Post-screening discussions and other engaging activities bring together the community to explore, discuss, embrace, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.

In Fall 2020, ReelAbilities Film Festival--Cleveland, representing nine organizations in Akron and Cleveland (including the Akron-Summit County Public Library and Summit DD), went virtual presenting films and activities for all ages, with participation by Akron Children's Museum, area early childhood centers, and children and adults in their homes throughout Northeast Ohio.

Now in its third year in Akron, ReelAbilities Film Festival 2021 promises to bring more award-winning films, engaging speakers, and fun activities to our community in the Fall. Follow the Library's website and social media for details later this year.
