A First for Akron’s Future

Beginning in 2019—for the first time in our history—Akron engaged in a city-wide cultural planning process with goals to strengthen our city, advance our cultural diversity, increase our opportunities to create culture, and provide vibrant experiences for us.

Akron knows that the strength and future of our city resides in our ability to be build an inclusive community where all people are acknowledged, welcomed, and respected.

Together we will create a future where we inspire authentic learning, celebrate our uniqueness, and cultivate creativity.
